Juicing to Quit Smoking
Posted January 2nd, 2013Smoking is one of the most dangerous habits for the human body because of the harmful chemical toxins it introduces into the body and worst of all, the addictive nature of the habit. Smoking addicts crave for cigarettes even when they are not smoking because the chemicals in cigarettes initiates these cravings and makes it impossible for smoking addicts to quit. This is where refocusing on a healthier lifestyle by smoking addicts become very important. Fruits and Vegetables when introduced in a smoker’s life through the juicing method using juicers and juice extractors will help in limiting the craving for cigarettes by detoxifying the system and removing chemicals that initiate craving for smoking.
Drinking freshly juiced fruits and vegetables is ideal for smokers as the nutrients from the fruits and veggies are quickly absorbed into the body faster than eating the fruits and veggies whole. Quick nutrient absorption into the body allows for faster detoxification thereby removing the chemicals that initiate craving for smoking faster.
Smokers who want to quit smoking should always start by flushing out toxins and chemicals out of their system. To effectively flush the body of these harmful chemicals from smoking, indulging in a fruit and vegetable juice detox using a juicer is the alternative as the rich chlorophyll nutrients from the vegetables will detoxify the livers, kidney and intestines. Juices high in chlorophyll are the most beneficial such as kale, spinach, celery, and cabbage. Apples, carrots and pineapples are also good for cleansing the lungs.
When you have an urge to smoke, just juice a healthy fruit and vegetable cocktail to curb the cigarette craving.
